Footprints for Peace
We would like to give a huge thanks to all the individuals and organisations that have helped us with food, lodgings, donations and encouragement.
Well we are in to the third week of the walk and the snow is still coming down on us. We have had an amazing walk over the mountains from Tennessee and now through the coal mining mountains of Kentucky. The walk has been hosted by some incredible people and we have learnt a lot about the mountain top removal that is happening here.
There will also be a Footprints for Peace walk beginning in Scotland at the end of July. More information coming soon.
We have collected many signatures on the Global Citizens Demanding UN Action on Weapons of Mass Destruction Petition. We will deliver your signatures to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Conference at the United Nations in 2010.
We are forever grateful for the support and donations we receive during an event. This goes directly towards the day to day costs of putting on such an action. However our day to day costs of running these events are becoming increasingly more expensive so any financial help that can be given at the moment is greatly appreciated.
Please make a generous donation so that we can continue our work towards creating change through peaceful action to build a sustainable future.
You can make a tax deductible donation by sending a check to FootPrints for Peace, 1225 North Bend Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224, USA. or by going to www.footprintsforpeace.net and making a credit card donation through Paypal.
